News From DreamQuest Software - 7.30 Has Been Released!

AT LONG LAST, I've completed the 7.30 release and have included numerous bug fixes.

Here are the exciting features this release includes:

Added support for Windows 7 and for systems with 4+ GB of RAM
Improved bot play in Gin, Hearts, Rummy, and 500
Rummy: Multiple layoffs by humans now allowed
500: End hand replay and trick undo bug fixed
Gin: Fixed bug allowing AI to knock and discard over DW limit
500: Confirmed trick undo and endhand replay/rebid are working correctly
"Version seems old" message has been removed
Contact information updated and several other small bugs fixed

You can download the update by doing either one of the following:
1) Click Menu then Help then Check for newer version inside your game.
2) Download from http://www.dqsoft.com/download.html

The update is free to any customers who already bought All-Stars.

Mahjongg by the Pool? Tips and Strategies

TIP 1:
Remove stacked tiles.
Stacked tiles prevent you from seeing all your options. Removing them first gives you the best view.

TIP 2:
Remove tiles at corners and ends of rows and tiles that block more than one row.
Tiles at the ends of the rows block the eligibility of those in between. Eliminate them early to improve your chances.

TIP 3:
Survey the tiles and plan a strategy.
Obvious pair choices are not always the most advantageous. Careless choices can end the game too early if you run out of elgible pairs to remove. You are playing for best time, but take a moment to study the tiles to plan the best strategy.
