World's First Wireless Card Game Tournament, Sponsored by DreamQuest Software, Hailed as a Success

Players from around the globe compete in Spades and Hearts on wireless Palm OS and Pocket PC PDAs, Nokia cell phones and laptops

Boulder, CO (November 26, 2002) - On Saturday, November 16, 2002, DreamQuest Software conducted the world's first-ever wireless card game tournament. Entrants competed against each other in either DreamQuest Software's Championship Hearts or Championship Spades games, both of which were recently honored by Pocket PC Magazine as the best card games for PDAs, and competed on cell phones or PDA handhelds equipped with wireless access to the Internet. A total of 24 competitors from around the world challenged each other for prizes donated from Nokia, Handango and others.

The Grand Prize winner, David MacAlpine, from Clovis, New Mexico, will receive a Nokia 9290 Communicator, the acclaimed cell phone/PDA device featured in this summer's blockbuster movie, Minority Report.

"I have been a regular player in many of DreamQuest's tournaments, and the ability [for me] to now play online while I am on the road using my Pocket PC is not only really helpful, but very cool," said Mr. MacAlpine.

"Our first-ever wireless card game tournament was a lot of fun and a success at demonstrating the excitement of wireless gaming," said Christopher Williamson, DreamQuest Software's president. "The mixture of devices, locations, and backgrounds of the players was remarkable. Now that DreamQuest Software has proven online wireless gaming is more than an idea, but a reality, we hope to improve our games and expand to even more devices in the coming months."

Championship Spades and Championship Hearts are two of the first truly cross-platform wireless games in the industry. Along with the company's other card games, Championship Euchre and Championship 500 (an Australian favorite launched last month), DreamQuest Software's card games are highly regarded for the strength of their design, the challenge of their game-play, and the enjoyment players get from playing on a multitude of platforms. DreamQuest Software's wireless card playing customers even get to experience playing and chatting online in the company's free Internet lobby.
