DreamQuest Software Announces Bethany Siegler as new Director of Marketing

Sales increase 60%

Boulder, CO (Sept.23, 2003)-- DreamQuest Software announces their new Director of Marketing, Bethany Siegler. "Ms. Siegler has been consulting with the company for the last few months and will become a permanent member of our DreamQuest Team as of Oct. 2003," said President/CEO Christopher Williamson. "Since we have been working with Bethany, our gross sales have increased 60%."

DreamQuest Software, the creator of the world's first cross-platform wireless card games, said the majority of their sales are over the Internet. Though they had already handled search engine optimization of their site before working with Siegler, they hadn't seen as strong an increase in sales. One of the first things Bethany initiated was a web-based survey. "Our focus was always making the game better. Though we had taken the time to make sure the search engine's could find us, we hadn't fully addressed the consumer's experience on our site," said Williamson, "The study allowed us to see where and when people were leaving our site, and why. It has been instrumental in our site redesign."

In addition, Siegler has actively strengthened the company's relationships with all entities of the industry. "We have been able to partner up with Handango, CNet, Tucows, Symbian, Nokia, Palm and Sony Ericsson in ways we previous had not." Christopher explained, "These programs are introducing us to ever expanding audiences."

Siegler says, "While we are building rapports with the companies, we are also touching base with the customers directly, thru a more intuitive site, surveys, newsgroups and grassroots marketing efforts."

Bethany Siegler's background included work with International Strategic Marketing, an entertainment-marketing firm out of Longmont, Colorado. (Clients included: Sony Electronics, Budweiser, Capital Record's artists Megadeth and Bonnie Raitt.) As a former Marketing Director, for Boulder based What Are Records?, she represented a list of national recording artists such as David Wilcox, Maceo Parker, and Frank Black. Her consulting firm, BEthink'BethINK, had represented a wide range of clients before finding DreamQuest.

About DreamQuest, she said, "I like the challenges DreamQuest offers. They have a great product line, a loyal group of customers, and their products hold mass appeal. So, it's just a matter of bringing that into public awareness, and that's where I come in. They have built a solid full-featured game that addresses all levels of players, but their marketing previously spoke to 'tech heads'. People were finding the site, but feeling overwhelmed. Buying a game shouldn't be a chore."

"It hasn't taken much to bring the company to the next level," Siegler reflects, "We softened some technical wording and tweaked a few things to make the site more intuitive to a first time visitor." That, combined with a handful of promotions on sites like Handango, as well as their own site, and sales quickly followed. Next they hope to address some graphic changes and making a better online gaming site, as well as continuing the trend to increase sales.
