DreamQuest Drops Online Play to Focus on Casual Players
DQZone.com Discontinues Support for Online Play
Boulder, CO (September 17, 2007) - DreamQuest Software announced the closure of their online gaming portal, DQzone.com, and DQforums.com, effective 12pm (MST).
The move addressed longtime online play issues which prevented DreamQuest Software from growing their highly-accredited card and board game products.
"We want to focus our strengths on what we do best," Executive Producer Christopher Williamson said, "Let's face it, we're not the leader in online play...but with the inclusion of our new DreamCoach (TM), 24 realistic characters, and colorful new graphics, our products are the proven leader in the casual card and board game market."
DreamQuest Software publicly announced the closure of the DQzone.com portal last Thursday afternoon, allowing online players access over the weekend for final games and tournaments. Players will still have access to personal game statistics, character opponents ranging in 5 levels of difficulty, and a myriad of customization features.
Online players that would like to get in touch with each other may do so at http://dqfriends.healingokhearts.org/index.php. DreamQuest Software is happy to refund any players who purchased the All-Star Expansion Pack with the intent to play online between June 30, 2007 and September 17, 2007.
